LP (Latin Percussion) Matador Wood Bongos as a Birthday Gift!

Last night my husband surprised me with an opportunity to accept (from Craig's List) a used pair of LP Matador bongos for my 34th birthday! I accepted! We planned to buy a pair from Sam Ash or possibly Guitar Center, but this was a better deal. You see my used set is for an aspiring professional and costs way more than what my husband paid for them. As a matter of fact, my husband paid less for this used pair as a semi-pro set than we'd planned to pay at the stores!

I absolutely love them. I must tune them. I've saved some useful tips off Youtube to assist in that unfamiliar task. I am not a semi-professional yet. However, I am thankful and will play to the glory of God! Stay tuned...

Practice will get me there!

I practice occasionally and have a nack at playing.  I plan to change out the rawhide heads when I have the funds.  My wedding band has bent a little.  My hands swell a bit from continuous play.  Perhaps I should look up some techniques to playing.  Later I'll add a YouTube video of myself playing.
